Sometimes I look at other bloggers, especially mum bloggers and wonder how on earth they do it! A few of my favorites have bigger families than me, more animals and larger renovations, yet they make it look so easy! I’m 24 weeks pregnant now. I spent the first 17 weeks hiding under the duvet. When I eventually emerged I was so horrified by the state of our house I neared a breakdown! How on earth could we bring a baby back here?! Needless to say then that the last few weeks have been spent back on renovations.
I don’t quite have the same enthusiasm as usual but I’ve slowly (it’s not easy with a growing belly) managed to re-floor most of the house, thank god for easy click laminate flooring! The bathroom just needs a little more tiling and some bigger builder projects like insulation and a new log burner. Then it’s the ‘nursery’. No actual nursery this time, but a boys room which they can grow into. You would not believe how many hours I’ve racked up on Pinterest! Nesting is definitely in full swing!
Can you see the theme?! Flooring and painting are next on the list then hopefully it’ll start to come together with some furniture. The clock is ticking, under a 100 days to go, so hopefully I’ll have something to show soon!
As for Bees That Buzz. Well, I hadn’t so much as picked up a paint brush till this week. By the time I found a sheet of paper I was required back downstairs! There’s a new batch of material that’s been sitting waiting to be stitched since March and I’m not even sure where my camera is! 12 weeks of summer holidays don’t leave much time for such things. But look, I have blogged!!
