I’m Tamar the creator behind Bees That Buzz. Two years ago, my family and I moved to rural Spain in search of that ever-evading slower way of life. We bought a farmhouse and 250 olive trees and set about creating our dream home. Bees That Buzz began as a journal of the ups and downs of the move and the start of the long road to renovating our farmhouse.
I have recently re-discovered my love of art and design, specifically pattern design. I launched my first collection in Summer 2017 and Bees That Buzz evolved into my store for selling stationary and home wares made with my designs.
My patterns and illustrations are inspired by the beauty of my surroundings here in Andalucia, both natural and architectural. I enjoy using watercolour paints and experimenting with different styles. All of my products are made by myself in my small studio (a bigger studio is still on the renovation list!) using my trusty sewing machine .
I hope you enjoy visiting and if you have any questions about me or my work, please do not hesitate to contact me!
Thank you to Tom Lumsden for website development and hosting Andalucia.
